My inspiration for the light studies is Monet's series at Rouen Cathedral. It was very important to me when I first saw them, the perfect meeting of science and art, of observation paired with impressionistic technique.

This is my part of hope for all the light series shots; to capture the passing of time, hopefully beautifully, of that lazy quality to the afternoon, that small sense of dread with the coming of night, the lost drifting of scudding clouds, the exuberance and possibility of a brilliant summer's day, the feelings we all have looking out the window and having a dream, hope, or wish.
